Misha Freshin

Misha Freshin fell in love with Breakbeat and Soundsystem Culture when he entered the dance in Dublin nightclubs and experienced low decibel bass weight for the first time. Since then he has been seeking the very best in Drum & Bass, Jungle and 140.

Having cut his teeth as a DJ in friends houses, at after parties and raves, he then co-founded Sól Fúd which lead him to playing in various clubs and festivals around the country.

He established inHabit Recordings in 2018 and the label has only been going from strength to strength. The back catalogue boasts a myriad of strong releases of various styles across three series; inHabit, Momentum and Texture.

Since the restrictions lifted in Ireland and events came flooding back, the events side of things at inHabit has been picking up pace of late too as they host release launch parties, international guests and label takeovers. This year sees the label celebrating 5 years in the running with some nice plans for 2023 to mark the milestone.

It’s Misha’s passion for music and connecting people that drives him to organise events, bringing people together to share in the dance as he continually pushes the sounds of Drum & Bass, Jungle and Soundsystem Culture.

As an avid selector he can dip into a vast selection of sounds in and around the 170bpm mark, from the sub-heavy, relentless percussion and Amen breaks of Jungle to the fast-forward Soul Music of Liquid to the cavernous bassweight and precision of Tech-infused rollers amongst an array of styles from the spectrum. Expect everything from head down business, deep transitioning grooves to high-octane energy in his meticulously crafted sets as he is well equipped to adapt to any scenario and well attuned to setting the mood
